        This was another exciting year for PnJ. This year our focus was on Vedic Math and we released 3 books on Vedic Math. We also started conducting courses for younger kids.
        The first book we released was 'Vedic Math for 8th class', second book was 'Vedic Math primary school arithmetic' and third book is 'Drawing and Feeling Math'. Vedic Math courses and books got very good response from all of you and I want to Thank you for your affection.
        Recently we launched an interesting course and this is to learn math with craft, art, acting and gaming. Everyone including us are thrilled with this. 
        We even released a book of Kalyani's Poems (Najar) and many people liked it. Some of them sent awesome reviews, some others sent their notes on her poems. Some are reading them regularly and presenting it in public forums with prior permission.
        In coming year, we want to design and deliver new courses and I want to publish my next research book on Vedic Astrology. This book will be Part 2 of 'Untold Vedic Astrology'.

In the course of explaining details of astrology it is possible that I may explain few horoscopes and it is useful to understand the basics of reading horoscope. Today we will learn how to read horoscope drawn in north Indian way. Once you learn this, south Indian way is not very difficult.                A horoscope consists of houses and signs. You may know that there are total 12 signs and there are 12 houses as well. Every planet is posited in one of the 12 signs sign and in one of the 12 houses. Vedic Astrology: Calculation of Ascendant or Lagna

Ascendant is the point of ecliptic on the eastern horizon at a specific time. Let us calculate the ascendant step by step To calculate this point tropical longitude of sun is required. Step 1: Calculate the tropical longitudes of the sun. Tropical longitude of sun = Nirayana longitudes + Ayanamsha. Step 2: Calculate the difference between the birth time (LMT) and a sunrise on a given day. This is called as Ishta kala . Step 3: Consider the sign in which the sun is in and the degrees he has traversed in that sign. ( Note: Consider the tropical longitudes of the Sun. ) Step 4: Calculate by direct proportion the expired portion of the sign the sun is in at the time of sunrise.
