Yummy Yam Starter (Most Liked Dish)

Hello all and welcome to series of tasty and healthy recipes once again, this time my favorite starter. It’s delicious, easy to make and a perfect starter or evening snacks in winters. Let’s rush to the kitchen and enjoy it.
Indian yam, elephant foot or Suran is very nutritious root. It is rich in protein and omega 3 fatty acids. It also has many medicinal uses. It helps in lowering blood sugar, cholesterol and in weight loss. This recipe is simple, easy to make and tasty. It requires very little oil but may need little bit of time to prepare.

Preparation time: 45 minutes  
Ingredients (4 Servings): 1.½ kg Indian yam (Suran)
2.3/4th cup roasted soji rava (Semolina)
3.3/4th table spoon rice flour and gram flour each
4.½ teaspoon turmeric
5.1 and ½ teaspoon chili powder
6.1 teaspoon cumin seed powder
7.½ teaspoon asafetida
8.Salt as per taste
9.1/4th cup tamarind soaked in hot water (1/2cup water)
10.Oil as required
