Let’s make something quick today. If friend gives a surprise visit or kids are hungry or you are wondering what to make for evening snacks over a weekend and you want to make something quick, interesting as well as healthy then here you go. Dhokala is all time favorite snacks. My daughter just loves dhokala and whenever she demands, I can make it in 15- 20 minutes.   Ingredients:     1.      1 &1/2 cup gram flour 2.      1 cup water 3.      2 teaspoon sugar 4.      2 teaspoon lemon juice(1/2 lemon) 5.      1 teaspoon grated ginger 6.      ¼ teaspoon turmeric, mustard seeds, asafetida each 7.      1/4 th cup chopped coriander and 1/4 th cup grated fresh coconut 8.      3 and ½ teaspoon oil 9.      1 teaspoon Eno (fruit salt) lemon/orange flavor 10.    Salt as per taste 11.    1 large pot 12.    1 small pot with flat bottom (the size shall be such that it will be kept into the large pot in boiling water)

Yummy Yam Starter (Most Liked Dish)

Hello all and welcome to series of tasty and healthy recipes once again, this time my favorite starter. It’s delicious, easy to make and a perfect starter or evening snacks in winters. Let’s rush to the kitchen and enjoy it. Indian yam , elephant foot or Suran is very nutritious root. It is rich in protein and omega 3 fatty acids. It also has many medicinal uses. It helps in lowering blood sugar, cholesterol and in weight loss. This recipe is simple, easy to make and tasty. It requires very little oil but may need little bit of time to prepare. Preparation time: 45 minutes       Ingredients (4 Servings): 1.        ½ kg Indian yam (Suran) 2.        3/4 th cup roasted soji rava (Semolina) 3.        3/4 th table spoon rice flour and gram flour each 4.        ½ teaspoon turmeric 5.        1 and ½ teaspoon chili powder 6.        1 teaspoon cumin seed powder 7.        ½ teaspoon asafetida 8.        Salt as per taste 9.        1/4 th cup tamarind
