Have you ever seen a baby successfully
walking for the first time? It is so much of fun! I have enjoyed it many times.
Walking is a daily activity that we do not consider as a skill. When people
grow old due to various reasons, they again may face challenges in walking and
if they want to walk then it may be a new skill for them.
Recently an old woman of 67 years came
to me. She had undergone a spine surgery after which she had challenges in
walking. She met me 2 months after the surgery. Doctor has prescribed her physiotherapy
for few days and later some daily exercises. Even after 2 months, she was using
a walker or assistance. She was also worried if she will be ever able to walk independently.
Once or twice, she fell down while walking and that reduced her confidence
further.
One good thing about NLP, is the change is fast and persistent.
When I thought how do we really walk even I started wondering and decided to
model people of different age. I modeled four different people and came up with
four exercises for her. NLP modelling is
a technique of modelling a skill or excellence.
The woman did not feel comfortable, as
they were just few more simple exercises. I told her family to follow up for
just a week and we decided to meet after a week. Within a week, the woman had
started using a stick for support and had already left the walker. She was
completely convinced that these exercises could help her walk again. When I
told her to do exercises in front of me, I realized that there is numbness in a
left toe and lumpiness in left foot. I modeled movement of toes and fingers and
added two more exercises to her daily routine. We decided to meet after a week later.
Next
time she came without a stick. She was not limping at all and showed me that
she is able to move 4 fingers of her feet! She confirmed it was unbelievable
for her and only thumb is left now.
Sometimes
we do certain things naturally and forget the skill behind it and sometimes we
go behind many advanced things but forget the basics. NLP works in most of the cases
basic as well as advanced and it is available for everyone curious!

Marathi Kavita:
By
Kalyani
-

Our culture wants us to preserve this for coming generations!
By

Just last month I visited our native place and I recollected my childhood because of the things that I saw there. Most of the things are now outdated and our coming generations may not even get to know about them unless we preserve them proudly. We want to take care and preserve all the items mentioned below for coming generations and this blog is just in remembrance of our childhood. I am showcasing a picture below and offering a brief description for those who aren’t aware of the gadgets in the picture. I thought Gudi Padwa is a very good occasion to share this with all of you.
This is called Laath. This is used to make rice flakes or poha. Even today my uncle makes Poha using this Lath twice every year. During Diwali poha made from fresh rice on Laath is offered to the god. Laath is also used to grind spices. Above vessel is made from a stem of a large jack fruit tree. Vedic Astrology: How to calculate Sunrise and Sunset
By
Gaurish Borkar
-
In this post we
are going to cover the calculation of sunrise and sunset. Sunrise takes place when
the sun appears on the eastern horizon. The time for sunrise varies according
to the location. For instance, the time for sunrise at a place located at 15
deg. North and 90 deg. East will be different from a place located at 45 deg.
north and 90 deg. East. The formula for sunrise is: 1.tan (sun's declination) * tan(
latitudes of place ) let us call this as X 2.Now find the sin inverse of X.
The product is in degrees minutes. If the sun is in Uttarayana and the location is in northern
hemisphere then. The product calculated above should be added in 90 deg.
If however the birth is in Dakshinayana and the location is in northern
hemisphere then the above product should be deducted from 90. The
reverse holds true when the birth is in southern hemisphere. The
product derived from above calculation should be multiplied by 4 minutes and
should be deducted from 12 Noon for sunrise and…
