NLP: New Year Resolutions

        Every year we decide New Year resolutions when New Year starts. Some of us continue for a week and some of us continue for a month. Very few of us achieve their goal and rarely do we exceed them.
        As I work with people, I get chance to help them to define their goals and come up with plans to achieve them. NLP is very good at both of them. Well-formed outcomes are a best goal setting and achieving methodologies I have come across so far. My general observation is that when goal are properly defined and plans are well developed using well-formed outcomes we achieve our goals in much less time.
        Recently I worked with an engineer on goal setting and plan development. He wanted to achieve something for last 1 year but he was not getting what he wanted. We worked it out with well-formed outcomes and to his surprise, it happened within a week! Interestingly couple of his goals was conflicting to each other! When I made him realize it, he came to know that one of them is not happening any ways in next few days.
        Even though above two incidents are miraculous and we may ignore them as exceptions, due to his awareness about well-formed outcomes and plan, he was able to march much faster towards his goals and achieve them quickly.
        I also worked with another woman on goals recently with well-formed outcomes and her experience is very similar. She said, “I could see more avenues opening for me that helped me to reach to my goals much faster than expected.”

        Recently someone asked me about the scientific meaning of Shree Saraswathi Yanthram and I thought many of you may have same question. Many Hindus have been drawing and praying Shree Saraswathi Yanthram or Shree Saraswathi sign since childhood. Many of you may know that Shree Saraswathi is a goddess of 14 Vidya or sources of knowledge and 64 Kala or art forms. As a student of Vedhic astrology, one of the challenges that I faced was studying classical texts. We have so many texts and every text has some exceptional content. Vedic Astrology: Calculation of Ascendant or Lagna

Ascendant is the point of ecliptic on the eastern horizon at a specific time. Let us calculate the ascendant step by step To calculate this point tropical longitude of sun is required. Step 1: Calculate the tropical longitudes of the sun. Tropical longitude of sun = Nirayana longitudes + Ayanamsha. Step 2: Calculate the difference between the birth time (LMT) and a sunrise on a given day. This is called as Ishta kala . Step 3: Consider the sign in which the sun is in and the degrees he has traversed in that sign. ( Note: Consider the tropical longitudes of the Sun. ) Step 4: Calculate by direct proportion the expired portion of the sign the sun is in at the time of sunrise. Step 5: Calculate the unexpired portion by deducting the expired portion of the sign as calculated in the fourth step.
